Coco Chanel is as classic and quintessential to a woman's life as ice cream and a bucket of KFC when we're depressed.  So I guess thats why I chose this to be my very 1st Blog.  Im constantly looking at the growing trends in fashion and whatever community Im living in at the time.  Being an Army Wife I've seen a lot in this life.  Lets start with this....Ladies....the yoga pants are nice if you're laying around watching Dr. Phil and cleaning house, but were not meant to be dressed up with your nicest cleanest Aerosmith tee to go to dinner at the Olive Garden.

Remember the days of our grandmothers, all those great black and white photos?  Our grandmothers were glamourous.  It didn't matter they were living in the Great Depression without a dime to their names, they were beautiful women and they held themselves with style and dignity and were the backbone to the family structure.   I long for the days of wearing pill box hats and white gloves....oh how I was born a generation or two too late!   Sometimes, more is less.   The trends I've seen walking through the malls or as recently as a youth football league game, we all need lessons on whats appropriate for our ages.  

Stretch pants aren't pants, for real!  Overalls should only be on kids to the age of 10, if your over 10 then please, wear a shirt underneath....and underpants.   I realize Im in the south now, Texas ya'll,  cowboy boots can be fun and cool, but a grown woman should have more between the top of her boots and her waist band.  Ladies, keep the lower cheeks hidden!  If your pearly white is now a drab gray, its ok to throw away.   We all want to be sexy and feel beautiful we just need to find that happy medium of tasteful and daring.
